Community Health Centers began serving the uninsured in the late 60's under the creative mind of Senator Ted Kennedy. To date Georgia has over 21 community health centers established with over 100 satillites in a state with 159 counties. MCHC opened its doors March of 1994 and we have been on the move ever since. We started in a leased building with 1 pediatrician, 1 administrator, 1 nurse, 1 biller and 1 receptionist. Since 1994 employment of 5, we have grown to 55 employees. Our main site 8500 sq in Ware County, two outreach sities, one senior day care site, a community health center in three other counties.MCHC is a one stop shop with pediatrics, internal medicine, dental, transportation, diabetes collaborative, patient assistance and much more.
