About Emmaus Community of Pittsburgh
Emmaus Community of Pittsburgh provides permanent homes, respite care, and advocacy for people with intellectual disabilities and autism.
The primary mission of the Emmaus Community of Pittsburgh is to provide residential homes and respite care for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism promote public awareness of their needs. The Community, inspired by Faith and a desire to help others, seeks to improve the quality of life for persons with intellectual disabilities. In living, working and breaking bread together, people with and without disabilities learn and grow together.
Emmaus is unique because it is built on a model of staff living in the homes provided by Emmaus, in a family-style atmosphere to foster mutual growth.
