Nestled in the valley of the foot hills of the Bankhead Forest,in North Alabama, Our scenic location is just the place for you to get away and enjoy a day of Mining at the Flannagin Farm in the Youngtown Community. Mining is a great field trip for Church groups, School groups , Senior Citizen groups, and others ! You may dig your own Gem dirt in our covered mining shed or Gemstone buckets and Beginner bags are available for on site fluming. Take-Home Kits are also available.?Take a scenic stroll up to the 1800's Log Cabin, Blacksmith and Carpenter shop or take a hike down the wooded trail. Picnic tables are available , so pack Refreshments with your Lunch and stay awhile. Be Sure to bring a camera to preserve your memories made in Youngtown, Alabama !
