About Allegro Foundation...a Champion for Children with Disabilities
Allegro is a nonprofit organization that combines movement instruction with educational and medical expertise to teach children with disabilities.
Allegro teaches 480 children with mental retardation, Down syndrome, orthopedic challenges (wheelchairs and walkers), Spina bifida, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, muscular dystrophy, visual and hearing impairments, children at-risk, and children with cancer in FREE weekly classes.
Allegro is a Nationally Recognized Leader in Teaching Children with Disabilities. In 2004 Allegro's students made history as the first group of children with disabilities to perform at The White House and were invited back in 2005 and 2008.
Allegro is an Independent Organization: Allegro is not a United Way or Arts and Science Council funded agency. Allegro is not an affiliate of any other organization.
