About Durham Center For Senior Life
DCSL is a nonprofit organization providing activities, programs services for older adults in Durham County at five senior centers.
DCSL offers eight programs:
Congregate Meals - a nutritious hot lunch at four centers
Social and Senior Center Services scheduled and drop-in activities
Health Promotion classes and support
Information, Referral and Case Assistance - serves as the main resource for older adults in Durham, including the published Senior resource directory, Telephone Reassurance Calls, Depression Prevention and Early Intervention
Caregiver Support Program - provides in-home respite care, caregiver support group, and caregiver education.
Health Insurance Counseling - provides full-service counseling for older adults about Medicare and other health insurances,
Transportation - rides to the congregate meal sites and limited transportation to grocery stores.
