FriendshipWorks is dedicated to reducing the social isolation, enhancing the quality of life, and ensuring the dignity of isolated elders and adults with disabilities living in Boston and Brookline. We were founded in 1984 and have a corps of 200 volunteers who provide all of our services. We provide friendly visits for ongoing companionship, medical escorts to important doctor's appointments, help with light tasks of everyday living, pet visits in nursing homes, help with exercise, and bilingual care for Latino elders living in Jamaica Plain.
