MECO is the original high-runout seal for dry powder process equipment and remains the leader in the field. MECO seals provide an effective alternative to packing glands lip seals and v-rings where they are not working.
MECO seals work like a thrust bearing to accommodate 6mm or more of shaft runout. Available fully-split to facilitate mounting and retrofits, custom-designed to fit actual, exact shaft diameters. In dry applications, MECO seals often use a low-flow air-purge (.25+/- .25 cfm), and the seals can continue to function through interruptions in air flow.
MECO engineers specify the design and materials of construction to best suit each application.
MECO offers seals compliant with the Europen ATEX Directive, for service in potentially explosive atmospheres.
