As Property Manager's of Florida Sunshine Realty Services, Inc., the biggest problem we are experiencing on the homes we manage is the theft of A/C units, well equipment, and pool heater equipment. Almost daily we see A/C unit's that are either completely stolen, or that have had the copper ripped out, both of which the entire unit must be replaced. The approximate cost for a new outside unit is around $1,700, and insurance does NOT cover vacant homes. Replacing well equipment is also extremely costly, around $2,800! Also, with our high humidity in Florida, if an A/C unit is not replaced right away, we then see even worse issues start - MOLD!
