Blaine Robles, owner of Nor-Cal Wood Restoration and Painting, worked on his first staining project in the North Shore of Lake Tahoe in 1989. He then started Marin County's first wood restoration/ painting company with business partner Paul Burrous and named the business Marin Wood Restoration. Until then, there wasn't a company specializing in wood restoration anywhere in Marin.
The business was started on Blaine's license and after 7 years, Paul and Blaine had a positive partnership split and Blaine started Nor-Cal Wood Restoration and Painting on his original contractors license.
Today both companies are thriving and continue to set the standards for quality workmanship for wood restoration and painting in Marin County.
