About The Healing Place of Athens
The Healing Place Athens is a nonprofit charitable organization serving men suffering from homelessness and substance abuse in Northeast Georgia.
The Healing Place of Athens is a multipurpose facility in Athens-Clarke County that serves men with needs for shelter and treatment for problems related to substance abuse. Men seeking help for addiction recovery and the gamut of problems related to homelessness have The Healing Place to assist them.
Our program is designed to address all stages of the recovery process, beginning with the Celebrate Recovery course through gainful employment to the ultimate goal of leading an independent and productive life of sobriety.
Our program is unique in that we are able to attract homeless men to our recovery program through our emergency overnight shelter, which exposes them to our staff and clients who can offer them hope, encouragement, and support for pursuing their own recovery.
