About Self Reliance Of Utah
Provide individualized independent living services to adults with mild cognitive disabilities
Self Reliance of Utah is an advocacy and coaching agency. Our role is to support the client in making their own decisions, and pace learning experiences at a rate and in a manner that can be self-sustained by the individual, with support. Strategies are mutually agreed on between the individual, staff and often families. It is ultimately the responsibility of the person we work for to follow through, and make their best decision. Clients with Self Reliance of Utah are allowed to make mistakes and learn from those mistakes within a safe and supported environment. Over time, using a variety of coaching techniques for problem solving and consistent support, clients grow to follow through, make better decisions and remain living independently and greatly reduce the risk of becoming homeless.
