African Immigrant Services (AIS) is a non-profit organization working to empower African immigrants and refugees integrate into mainstream communities and to increase their participation in civic life.
Through capacity development and creative access to resources, AIS partners with African immigrants and refugees to achieve economic self-sufficiency.
To build bridges and bonds across cultures, AIS promotes cross-cultural understanding and engagement and seeks to influence a more informed public perception and narrative about the assets and contributions of African immigrants and refugees.
Established in 2005, AIS also works to change systemic inequality and injustice and strives to erase their overt and subtle effects.
