Everything changed when I discovered my father's camera. It was sleek, metallic, and sturdy. It was a Canon AE-1. I use to sneak it out of the house and take all sorts of photos. I barely knew how to use it but it was a cool to play with. After my father processed the photos he would wonder where or when he took them.
Like anything else life goes on, and my next encounter with a camera wouldn't be until years later. I was in my early 20's to be more precise. I enlisted into the United States Marine Corps in 2000. I didn't register to be anything special. I elected to be in the infantry. It may just be the best way to go if you want to see the world before you reach 25. Photography came back to me, but this time it was for a purpose.
