About Omni Metals Laboratory, Inc
Metallurgical lab specializing in the testing and certifying of high-strength steels used in sour-gas wells and sour pipelines for crack resistance.
OMNI Metals Laboratory personnel have been performing SSC testing of steels for the oil & gas industry longer than those of any other laboratory in the world. We are considered by many to be the 'gold standard' of such testing. Our personnel are key members of the NACE and API committees that control the testing protocol for the high-strength steels used in deep sour gas wells worldwide. We perform SSC tests under not only standard conditions, but under the FFP conditions representing specific sour field conditions. We developed the testing protocol for, and are specialists in, the testing of C-110 and C-125 under mild and very mild conditions. Our heat-treating, mechanical testing, and metallographic equipment, and strong metallurgical expertise, enable us to solve customer problems.
