About Oregon Wing, Civil Air Patrol
The Civil Air Patrol serves communities, states, and the nation by performing missions in emergency services, aerospace education, and cadet programs.
Within the area of emergency services, CAP performs missions related to search and rescue, disaster relief, and humanitarian assistance.
Within the realm of aerospace education, CAP works with local educators, community groups, its cadets, and members of the public to spread the joy of learning about aviation and space exploration.
The CAP cadet program develops leadership skills young people, ages 12 to 21. It also develops skills necessary for today's competitive workforce.
There are sixteen Civil Air Patrol units in Oregon, mostly located along the I-5 corridor and on the coast. There is one unit in Bend.
