About Disciples of Christ Historical Society
A general ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), it is the primary archive and historical voice of the Stone-Campbell heritage.
Disciples of Christ Historical Society (DCHS) is housed in the historic Thomas W. Phillips Memorial Archives, adjacent to the campus of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. DCHS holds the world's primary collection of materials related to the Stone-Campbell churches and is the official repository of materials for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The collection includes over 10,000 rare books, 40,000 biographical files, 10,000 artifacts, 300,000 photographs, and millions of documents. DCHS is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization and is governed by a Board of Trustees. Its imprint is Polar Star Press and it owns and operates six websites. The main site is www.discipleshistory.org.
