About Genealogical Forum of Oregon
The GFO is a non-profit organization founded in 1946 that provides a research library with over 32,000 volumes covering all 50 states & many count
The objectives of the Forum are to instruct in research, to create an interest in genealogy, and to share, compile and publish genealogical and historical materials.
The Forum is an all volunteer organization with no paid staff. Everything is done by dedicated and loyal volunteers who give of their time and talents to improve opportunities for genealogists. Our members enjoy the use of our library, classes, interest groups, and access to Ancestry.com World Edition to research their genealogy.
Non-members may research in our library for FREE the first Monday of each month. Research assistants can give you a tour, answer questions, and assist with your research. Non-members pay $7.00 visitor fee except the first Monday of the month.
