About Montrose Center For the Arts
Art School and Glass Fusing Studio
We teach drawing and painting classes to children ages 4 and older with a curriculum based in art history and featuring use of media including water color, pastels, charcoal, clay, collage, acrylics and graphite. Also offered are oil painting classes for adults and teens of all skill levels. Our glass studio encompasses classes in glass fusing featuring jewelry and plates, with additional classes available in wire wrapping and beading. New this year are "therapeutic clay" classes for adults and teens in hand-building techniques. The focus of these sessions are stress reduction, but students will also produce fun and functional clay products.
