About SleepyGoat Farm
A licensed farmstead dairy, specializing in fresh and aged goat cheeses, cheese tutorials, farm tours, and quiet country retreats.
SleepyGoat Farm is located on 160 undulating acres in Pelham, NC, just 6 miles south of Danville, VA and 44 miles north of Greensboro, NC. Our herd of mostly Oberhasli goats numbers around 50, with several retirees replaced by young, fresh producers yearly. Licensed as a Farmstead Cheese Maker by the state of North Carolina in June of 2004, our cheese-making operation, SleepyGoat Cheese, produces several kinds of cheese, fresh and aged, pasteurized and raw.
The farm is open to visitors on the 2nd Sunday of each month, between May and August, from 2-5 PM. SleepyGoat Cheeses may be purchased at local markets (Danville Farmer's Market, Weaver Street, Midtown Market, Wake Forest Farmer's Market, Briar Patch, Fish Bones, etc.) and several online markets (piedmontlocalfood, runner-bean).
