I own and operate ecointeriors, it is an eco friendly company and carriers primarily household items. Right now I am featuring Pomaireware Clay Products. They are made by artisans in chile, and are enviormently sound. They hold in heat and are long lasting made entirely of clay.They say they are dishwasher safe, but I only wash mine by hand to preserve the integrity of the clay product. No glaze or varnish is used. Each peice takes about 8 hours at high temperatures to dry the clay into an iron-hard finish. And as such, it has its own defects and discolorations that in no way affect the performance of each piece. All items are oven safe up to 450 degrees F, stove top safe (electric W/ diffuser) and micowaveable. This clay work has been passed down from generation to generation.
