About North West Quest
Hand-carved walking sticks.
North West Quest, we walk, look and find. A quality walking stick actually will become a comforting companion and its use is only limited by the person's imagination. My backpacking mentor taught me that the walking stick is a tool for a safer outdoor adventure. So please don't mistake a walking stick with a cane. The walking stick provide early warning to wildlife (including snakes) that you are approaching and will serve as a defensive device should the residents protest your visit. It's also an extension of your arm for moving brush, spider webs and other obstacles out of the way and a great helper across a low creek or ditch. Walking stick or not, tell someone of your outing and a expected return time. Pack as if you might need to be in the elements over night. Have fun!
