The Johnston County Visitors Bureau is the official destination marketing organization for the county of Johnston, home to the Ava Gardner Museum.
Located along the I-95 and I-40 corridors in eastern North Carolina, Johnston County is home to several heritage museums showcasing the county's rural farming history, the final battle of the Civil War and our connection to Hollywood. Visitors to Johnston County come from far and wide for Outlet Shopping as Smithfield and Selma offers the largest number of outlet shops in eastern North Carolina. Carolina Premium Outlets in Smithfield offers 25-65% of retail prices at stores like Coach, Polo Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, Talbot's, Chico and many more. JR Outlets is the world's largest cigar outlet and also offers household goods, a large book store, cosmetics and fragrances.
