About Grand Rapids Thunder Football Association
Semi-Professional Football Team
The Grand Rapids Thunder is a semi-pro team based on the concept of helping area athletes get to the next level of competition that for many reasons did not go to college or are back from college and want to continue to play. Our organization also looks to help out the community by providing training camps and assisting in special community activities.
In the 2009 season The Thunder posted 14-5 record making a record of 74 wins and 17 losses since its inception in 2003. The Thunder has Four Divisional Championships and two trips to the league championship to show for Four years in the MLFA and two in the USFA with a Mid-State Tournament Championship in 2009. In 2011 The Grand Rapids Thunder will be competing in Great Midwest Football League ( GMFL).
