Robert Mungo has been in the tax preparation business since 1974. His first firm operated under the name of Mungo Tax Service. The business grew very rapidly and after a few years Glenda Mungo, his wife, joined the firm. The firm was moved to a new office site in 1986 at 1107 Chesterfield Ave in Lancaster, SC. The beautiful office building was built in 1910 as a personal residence. Even though the building is now more than 100 years old, it still serves the firm well.
The firm has experienced several changes throughout its 36 years. Mrs. Mungo became a full time homemaker in 1996, and the firm's name changed several times as different partners came and left. In 2011, Mr. Mungo's son, Chris, joined the firm, and the name was changed once again to Mungo and Son Tax and Financial Services LL
