The markets included manufacturing, food, automotive, furniture production, graphic industry, building construction, ship and oil rig building. He also set up and ran several distribution nets. Then in Xerox, after setting up a new invoicing department for invoice control, he was moved to collections. Soon he was asked to start a new sales division to create distribution for office equipment. After five years at Xerox, he became a stock broker for a nation-wide brokerage firm. When a stock broker builds his business, he starts with nothing except a desk and a phone. He takes a high risk that he can build a client base. John built his fast enough to be able to buy this multi-national franchise.
