We have, in collaboration with the University of Hawaii, developed real-time remote thermal measurement systems to monitor volcanic activity on Kilauea Volcano. FLYSPEC personnel have developed and patented a real-time UV correlation spectrometer for measuring SO2 gas emissions from volcanoes and for environmental source monitoring. FLYSPEC, Inc. is the result of our commercialization activity for this technology. Our expertise in remote sensing field deployments and measurements has proven invaluable in developing systems for real-world field applications in harse environments.
