Shomler Canoes & Kayaks, LLC is a family owned and operated canoe rental business servicing the Pine River.Established as Famous Jarolim Canoes in 1955, it is the oldest livery operating on the Pine River. In April 2000 it was renamed Shomler Canoe & Kayak Rental and moved to its present location. We offer canoe, kayak and raft trips on the Pine River, a National Scenic River flowing through the Manistee National Forest. The Pine River is considered by many to be the premier paddlesport river in Michigan's Lower Peninsular. With an average gradient of 12 foot per mile it offers a challenge unequalled in this area.
