I started pipe work in 1979, installing & repairing water mains sizing from 3/4"-36", fire hydrants, water services, water meters, learned how to drive big rig and operate lite-heavy equipment. Knowing pipe work, I would help my neighbors with their plumbing, living in an old neighbor-hood of Los Angeles, were the homes are 100 years & older ( VICTORIAN and CRAFTSMAN STYLE) taught me more about craftsmanship and restoration, installing new or repairing existing. I went to night school and took some weekend courses, received my state license and city certification. I did all the work myself then, I still do now, with the help of my son from time to time.
