In 2009 Kimmie endured an injury from a fall that put her out of work for a 2 month period. During that time, rather than sit home she chose to do a ride along with her then Fiance John; who was a 15 year appliance service tech. The company that he was then employed with was synonymous for it's poor customer care and high rate of miss-diagnosis. So she witnessed him constantly exercising corporate image repair and fixing things that should have been repaired properly from the start. Compelling him to find new employment showed that this was too often an ongoing structure for many home appliance service companies. When she spoke the words "Why are we helping them to do things wrong when we can do it right all by ourselves?" Thus the vision of Kimmies Appliance Repair was born.
