About Step One
Step One, founded in 1994, is a NYS Office 0f Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Services licensed outpatient treatment program. Open six days a week.
Step One provides safe, confidential, services in a warm and supportive environment. We provide a wide range of services from our intensive morning program to specialized afternoon and evening programing. Step One is the State and County primary provider of substance abuse services for all of southern Ulster County. Vincenza Freeborn, LCSWR, CASAC is the Clinical/Program Director at the Ellenville clinic.
Step One's primary clinic and administrative offices are at 102-106 Vineyard Avenue in Highland, NY. Christopher Dennehy, LCSW, CASAC is the Clinical/Program Director of the Highland clinic.
Step One accepts most insurance, medicare, medicaid, and has a sliding scale for self pay. Please call if you have any questions.
