Falcon Rest is the Victorian tour mansion where history is fun. Called Tennessee's Biltmore by PBS, it was built in 1896 by Gorilla Pants manufacturer Clay Faulkner, who promised his wife "the grandest mansion in Tennessee." Today, the 10,000 sq. ft.mansion is filled with museum quality Victorian antiques, and some say it's presided over by a friendly ghost.
Open daily year round for guided mansion tours, as well as delicious lunches and shopping for treasures in the Victorian Gift Shop and Tea Room. Special entertainment shows with meals are available for group tours. Weddings, special events, and overnight accommodations are also offered on the grounds. Halfway between Nashville and Chattanooga, centrally located for any Tennessee trip.
