Established in 1986 in South Florida, the business expanded into Houston Texas in 2002 and now serves the entire southern US. Operating subsidiaries include Ecotreat International LLC, a service company providing regulatory compliance services for plant exporters. ET specializes in exports to countries that do not allow soil imports via its new, patent pending, soil free root system preparation method. Groundworks also operates Texas American Tree Farm, a 250 acre farm producing cold tolerant palm species near Houston Texas. Groundworks also operates a landscape materials brokerage/exporter called Landscapers Partner Services.
