About Young, Paula

I am a California state licensed therapist with a relaxed and friendly style. As an established practice (meaning I have been working consistently in this field -in the same office, no less), for many years, I have seen a wide array of human problems. Certainly many patients come in with anxiety or depression. But I have also treated phobias, interpersonal issues, parenting problems, character disorders, life stage dilemmas, marital difficulties, career questions, eating disorders, you name it. I work mostly with adult individuals and also do some couples' counseling. I occasionally have an adolescent patient. I like working with that age group and I usually seem to do pretty well with them. Of course, teens change much more readily than we adults do!
