We are the premier provider of DBT services in Kansas City and the surrounding area. For over ten years, the Lilac Center has successfully provided a
Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), which is a serious mental illness characterized by pervasive instability in moods, interpersonal relationships, self-image, and behavior. This instability often disrupts family and work life, long-term planning, and the individual's sense of self-identity. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) has shown to help those suffering from BPD through individual and group therapy sessions in which interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance/reality acceptance skills, emotion regulation, and mindfulness skills are taught.
