About Green Door
A community program that prepares women and men with mental illnesses to work and live independently in Washington DC.
Green Door helps adults with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and other major and persistent mental illnesses to work and live in the community. Members come from hospitals, shelters, foster care, community health centers and the criminal justice system. In addition to case management, Green Door provides access to housing, vocational and educational support psychiatric and family services, and membership in the Clubhouse, which offers lifetime support.
