About Artistic Affirmations Cnslng
I work with children, adolescents, and families including LGBTQ. Using an artistic lens and affirmations of art therapy, I incorporate Family Systems.
I graduated with my Master's Degree in Psychology/Art Therapy from Antioch University/Seattle. Combining art and psychology is not a new concept. Actually, Sigmund Freud cited one of his patients as saying, "I could draw it... but I don't know how to say it." Art Therapy is a non verbal way to communicate thoughts and feelings while opening up new pathways of thinking. Art does not always mean staying within the lines - one's image holds true to one's self and only to one's self.
It is my mission to continue to develop as an individual so I can best meet the needs of my client's. As a member of The Amerian Art Therapy Association and WA Marriage and Family Association I am informed and kept up to date to sustain my therapeutic services as a Family & Marriage Art Therapist.
