About Angle Dog Ranch
The goal of Angle Dog Ranch is to provide shelter to homeless and at risk youth in Columbia County
Right now, we are still working on getting started and raising start-up funds. It's all pretty much volunteer at this point. We are currently working on two grants, which will, we hope, help us get some folks hired. Columbia County is a rural county outside of Portland, OR, with no similar services offered to minors. There is a huge need, especially in these tough economic times. I am a middle school teacher, and I see kids come to school every day dirty and hungry and not knowing where they will sleep that night. This needs to stop. I want to help end this cycle. Eventually, we'd like to have mentorship and therapy incorporated, but right now we are working toward just getting a safe place for kids.
