About Preserving Past, LLC
Photographic and Film Preservation specializing in private collections. Museum-quality services for Institutional, Business, Family and Fine Art.
The categories don't really describe what we do - but hey, we think outside the box.
Do you have boxes of photographs, movies, letters, and diaries in closets, attics, garages? Are they at risk of fire, flood, earthquake, hurricane? Do you have the stories behind the images? Do you want to access the images as well as to PRESERVE them for future generations?
Then call us! We help you get them organized. Whether you are a household, a University or Library, a Business or a photographer or independent film maker we have the expertise to handle your collections according to preservation standards.
CDs and DVDs only last 5-6 years before deterioration sets in. A movie DVD is compressed video. Obsolescence is an issue.
Digitization is not preservation! ALWAYS SAVE THE ORIGINAL ELEMENT!
