About Center For Orangutan And Chimpanzee Conservation
The Center for Great Apes, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, which rescues chimpanzees and orangutans from the pet & entertainment industries.
The Center for Great Apes’ mission is to provide a permanent sanctuary for orangutans and chimpanzees who have been retired from the entertainment industry, from research, or who are no longer wanted as pets. The Center provides care with dignity in a safe, healthy, and enriching environment for great apes in need of lifetime care.
The Center for Great Apes is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and all contributions are tax deductible as allowed by law.

Opening Hours
The sanctuary is not open to the public as an attraction or zoo. However current yearly members and supporters of the Center are invited to attend our annual Member Day in the spring. All visits to the Center are by appointment only.
