The System has been tested by an independent laboratory to verify that it does kill and trap bacteria which is very detrimental to everyone's health. That the odor control filtration system works has been verified by everyone who uses it; as your nose needs to be the only testing tool. In May of 2004 the company was awarded the Silver Medal in Recognition of Innovative Excellence in the Category of Bath at the INPEX Invention Show in Pittsburgh, PA.
