The Gulf States Renewable Energy Industries Association, or GSREIA, is a trade association for Solar and Renewable Energy firms throughout Louisiana,
GSREIA's mission is to encourage the development of a Renewable Energy economy in the central Gulf States through informed policy intervention, stakeholder education, and industry support. The unlimited potential of plentiful Renewables such as Solar, Wind, and Hydrokinetic energies in this region provides an opportunity to create long-lasting job growth and reduced dependence on foreign energy supplies, while helping shift our energy sources to clean, dependable technologies.
GSREIA is pending 501(c)6 Non-Profit Trade Association status with the IRS and has seated an interim board of directors. The Association has also applied to represent Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama with the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA).
