At this moment every existing component of standard sewage treatment and water treatment/ supply "dinosaurs" are in the final stages of disrepair and self-destruction. The costs to replace/ repair this will be many tens of billions of dollars and require many, many years and, ultimately, all that will be accomplished will be to resuscitate the old, dysfunctional "dinosaur" and only to die another day.
