I am Professor Emeritus of Illinois State University. However, during retirement, I needed the challenge of learning something entirely new. To meet this need, I chose to learn to make gemstone jewelry. I learned about gems and how to set them in jewelry under the supervision of a master craftsman and retired jeweler and friend. Soon, "Gemstone Creations" was born to market these items.
My partner in this business is my daughter, Joy. She is a retired school teacher and computer specialist . She maintains our website and oversees our inventory. Our most important business criterions are openness and honesty. We both spend a lot time reading information and applying it to our gemstones.
