Gold Team Houston is a Mixed Martial Arts and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training center. It is led by Jorge "Macaco" Patino who teaches the MMA and BJJ classes himself. He has fought professionally for over 20 years and still competes. By competing and training on the ground with his students, Macaco knows what works and teaches a very effective Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. At other schools, you will learn the basic positions, At Gold Team, there is a heavy focus on transitions between positions and counter moves that make the art much more effective.
We have classes for middle and high school age kids, women, beginner men and advanced men. It is a very cooperative environment designed to help you reach your fitness goals whether it is losing weight, gaining strength and flexibility, or competing.
